Pros

Pay. Pay. Pay. Raise every "90 days (more like 120 days- and retro pay is not awarded for the time difference for processing)." There is also a marketing department that counteracts any negative comments on this site and others to salvage public image, also, so that people will continue to work there. Some great people are sprinkled throughout, that work down in the trenches and on the front line with you- so there can be networking opportunity. Saying all this in "pros" is physically making me sick. Run, run, run in the other direction.

Cons

Micromanagement is beyond real. You are treated like a child or imbecile. Seniority means nothing, this is a "performance" based company. Metrics are VERY closely monitored and if you aren't making 150 dials AND 3 hours of talk time you will here it.... all day every day. There is a ton of pressure to begin with if you're an intelligent, educated, hard worker- but even more is applied via management that hovers. People are called out and on a number of occasions I have seen top management of the department literally lay into managers directly over the reps for all kinds of things. Your manager has no power, they are pawns just like you are. I have even witnessed numerous staff be "promoted" just to be demoted weeks, if lucky, just a few months later.

Dear CSA, we wish you all the best in your future endeavors. It is unfortunate that your experience at UMA was not a positive one and that you did not find shared meaning in contributing to the success of UMA’s graduates in finding employment in their field of study. We appreciate the insight into your experience and will look into the matters you raise in your post.

Pros

Overtime available, when need it

Cons

The work environment was highly scripted, making it difficult to build genuine rapport with prospective students. Employees were expected to follow approved scripts very closely, and even small deviations could be treated as compliance issues. At the same time, compliance expectations were not always clearly communicated, which created unnecessary stress. Management felt overly focused on micromanagement, contributing to a high-pressure work environment. During my time there, I also heard a prospective student comment on what they perceived as a lack of diversity within the organization, which stood out to me. Overall, I found the culture stressful and inflexible. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this employer to those looking for a supportive workplace with clear expectations and the flexibility to communicate authentically.
