Pros

Having a DOA with a knack for team building and genuine care for his team, made my time here worthwhile. My former DOA, Mr. Morales exemplified being a true leader at every moment while at work. He understood the effectiveness of constructive guidance while also genuinely caring about the well being of his team members. We felt like we could talk to him about anything and felt open to receive his instruction in terms of how we needed to OWN our business and improve our performance. Mr. Morales was the reason that I continued to push through the tough days, when I felt like not giving my best. I trust that team TMT and Mr. Morales are well on their way of setting a standard at UMA, hat many will soon desire to follow. Pay is well for an entry level job. Activities offered onsite to break up the monotony of Call Center environment. Overtime offered, increase earning potential for those looking to make money.

Cons

Advancement opportunities...as long as you achieve permanent status in current role as online Admissions Rep, and unless you are fully committed to this type of work, might be difficult to attain. Call Center environment can be monotonous.

Pros

Overtime available, when need it

Cons

The work environment was highly scripted, making it difficult to build genuine rapport with prospective students. Employees were expected to follow approved scripts very closely, and even small deviations could be treated as compliance issues. At the same time, compliance expectations were not always clearly communicated, which created unnecessary stress. Management felt overly focused on micromanagement, contributing to a high-pressure work environment. During my time there, I also heard a prospective student comment on what they perceived as a lack of diversity within the organization, which stood out to me. Overall, I found the culture stressful and inflexible. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this employer to those looking for a supportive workplace with clear expectations and the flexibility to communicate authentically.
