Pros

There are some great people here. The facility is nice.

Cons

Where to begin...... As mentioned in other reviews, it is all about being part of the "in" crowd. Attractive women get into that crown automatically and without question or hesitation. The director is an aggressive micromanager that could not care less about his employees. You will be expected to make a minimum of 200 phone calls a day to potential employers, begging them to interview our poor downtrodden grads. Your success will be greatly affected by the actions of some very pitiful and helpless graduates. There is always a looming sense of uneasiness, as people are being fired on a daily basis. I made a huge mistake coming to UMA and I suggest you take my review to heart if you're considering working for this toxic company. Lastly, the health insurance sucks here!!!

Pros

Overtime available, when need it

Cons

The work environment was highly scripted, making it difficult to build genuine rapport with prospective students. Employees were expected to follow approved scripts very closely, and even small deviations could be treated as compliance issues. At the same time, compliance expectations were not always clearly communicated, which created unnecessary stress. Management felt overly focused on micromanagement, contributing to a high-pressure work environment. During my time there, I also heard a prospective student comment on what they perceived as a lack of diversity within the organization, which stood out to me. Overall, I found the culture stressful and inflexible. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this employer to those looking for a supportive workplace with clear expectations and the flexibility to communicate authentically.
