Pros
If you work hard and truly believe in the mission of UMA, you can grow and move up. While no place is perfect, I've had the pleasure of working with really amazing managers and mentors who truly believe in my success and happiness. HR and the executive team are open to change and in the time I've been here I've seen many processes improve due to employee feedback. UMA has gone from a small company with "okay" benefits to a large company with competitive benefits and compensation. Every year I have worked here, HR has surveyed employees about their benefit offerings and grown to adjust to their employees needs.
Cons
Over time, as UMA has grown, the small company feel has dissipated so if it is important to you to have annual company outings, premium coffee supplies and the ability to order your own office supplies, UMA might not be right for you. They have cut back on frivolous spending in order to create new jobs openings, a better benefits package and the ability to offer promotions.
