Pros

Good salaries, crazy parties, always something happening, never boring

Cons

No training, very bad benefits, work life balance is awful, co-workers get arrested, extremely high turnover at all levels. Most positions are revolving door all the way to the executive level positions. Turnover in admissions, career services, student finance, and learner services is beyond belief. Little chance at a real promotion. Always worried regulators will shut the school down.

Ultimate Medical Academy Response

Helping soon-to-be graduates start their careers in the field of healthcare is both rewarding and highly demanding, and we applaud our staff members that are able to persist at tackling this challenge. Your feedback underscores our high expectations of each team member at fulfilling our commitment to the student and often the byproduct can be certain team members realizing this is not the career path for them. We are sorry to hear that you feel some of our staff worry that the school is in danger. UMA is in fact very sound and maintains multiple accreditations, approvals and memberships to show our commitment to not only our students and alumni but also our faculty and staff. As a current employee we encourage you to reach out to your manager, department head or a member of our human resources team to discuss the issues you are experiencing so they can help you have the best experience possibly during your time at UMA. Thanks again for your feedback and for being a part of the UMA team.

Pros

Overtime available, when need it

Cons

The work environment was highly scripted, making it difficult to build genuine rapport with prospective students. Employees were expected to follow approved scripts very closely, and even small deviations could be treated as compliance issues. At the same time, compliance expectations were not always clearly communicated, which created unnecessary stress. Management felt overly focused on micromanagement, contributing to a high-pressure work environment. During my time there, I also heard a prospective student comment on what they perceived as a lack of diversity within the organization, which stood out to me. Overall, I found the culture stressful and inflexible. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this employer to those looking for a supportive workplace with clear expectations and the flexibility to communicate authentically.
