Remote work opportunity overshadowed by toxic culture and low pay - Payment Assistant Specialist Union Home Mortgage Employee Review

*Company Culture *People I work with are friendly and helpful *Very organized company *IT is a huge investment within UHM right now, so thats a plus for tech folks. *From what I’ve heard from full-timers, great advancement opportunities if you can prove yourself within your role.

*No complaints from me. I can only speak for the L.E.A.D Internship Program UHM has, and it’s very organized and really invests in these interns.

Remote work has been a great addition to servicing. We see a higher retention rate which allows us to gain knowledgeable employees without constantly having to train new people without experience which can take up a lot of resources, time and money. CEO is generous and provides free lunch on campus for those in office. He also holds an annual family day at the ballpark. I love that I get to show off my company to family.

Pay is extremely low. It seems impossible to get a yearly raise here. Even when they tell you your up for a salary review months go by with no updates and your left in the dark. At the end of the day we need to feed our families and if pay is lacking it forces people to look elsewhere. We want to be appreciated before we have to go look elsewhere. Please fix this!!!! It’s hard to get promoted even when you take the proper steps it seems impossible.
