Pros
I feel they're a pretty organized company for the most part. You will meet lots of great people. They do motivate you to move up in the company. There is room for advancement if you know your stuff. The pay is not bad for retail. You have a great HR team that really tries their best to look out for the employees on all levels. Clean working environment. There's always something to do. Can be a really exciting experience. I've also got some really good songs in my ipod from the company's playlist. you will learn a lot about business if you pay attention
Cons
With good People there are bad people. way of life. Management and even associates will go on the most insufferable power trips. You'll feel like you're entering the twilight zone. There are unbearable power wars among employees all day every day. If you can tolerate being spoke to in a condescending manner more power to you. Long hours. It will seem as if you go to sleep at UNIQLO and wake up at UNIQLO, every single day. 7 AM opening shift is ridiculous for the type of work. 12 am closing shift is ridiculous for the type of work. This company has unrealistic expectations. And through the roof standards. The job can feel high school-ish at times as there are a lot of young college students and cliques. If you are an associate You will stay till 2 AM bringing the store back up to standard even though you are scheduled till 11 and management will hold it against you if you leave when you are scheduled to leave. You will be scheduled out of your availability. You expected to become a uniqlone. breathe eat and sleep it. There are times where you feel like a soulless robot. This job can really suck the life out of you, consume you, destroy your creativity, spirit and your ambition to be anything that isn't uniqlo .Such a redundant and trivial job. Many of my co-workers feel this job has made them feel worthless.
