Pros

Full time schedule Did not have to work weekends Made some friends Health insurance is VERY good

Cons

Long, exhausting hours Work cult - they want you to eat, sleep and breathe this company even if you’re only part time Physically demanding work (one coworker has been on leave for over a month for a back injury) Always hurting physically in some kind of way after this job Practically no work life balance - always too tired after work Customers are always put before employees Every employee is expected to have a “business” mindset and be proactive in generating sales as if they were a manager - but without the manager pay You can work your hardest, show interest in wanting to lead and management will hold you back for the tiniest infractions Have gotten incredibly upset at work to the point of tears sometimes because of the ridiculous workloads and expectations from management Anyone in this company, from sales floor associate to manager, is disposable and replaceable - there is no hesitation from leadership to let people go who are no longer benefiting them in the way they want

Pros

You learn a lot of the business; scheduling and payroll, labor management, how to create a daily workflow to accomplish business objectives. You're provided with detailed insights into a store's operations- it's P&L statement, total inventory and how convert key data into actionable plans. Simply put, you are challenged and will learn a lot.

Cons

Company and store experience varies greatly by store location. Unfortunately, management favoritism results in certain individuals getting better treatment and greater access to professional opportunities. Additionally, Company HR is very tepid when addressing store issues pertaining to behaviors exhibited by store management towards associates. Scheduling can be very inflexible and unaccommodating.
