Pros
- 30% employee discount - $10/hr starting rate
Cons
- no part-time benefits - rampant favoritism - hours not flexible - sketchy ethics They purposely keep you part-time to prevent having to give you benefits and hours. Even though your availability may be open 7 days a week, they'll still cheat you and give you 16 or 24 hours at best. They'll always give you some inane reason why they can't give you hours such as, "The amount of hours you get depends on your performance." which makes sense but at the same time is broken. Your manager or supervisor is in the office all the time and can't see what kind of work you do, so when evaluations come, your supervisor/manager can say "You need to work on ___." It is bad because you try to do work and those who are "favorites" sometimes stand around and chat while the supervisor/manager is not around. The people they like always manage to get at least 32 hours a week. In fact, I remember one time my co-worker had previous connections from his job at a sporting goods store and purchased a pair of sneakers for my manager. He was able to get 40 hours a week even when "hours were being cut", according to my manager.
