Pros

Great friendly part-time associates. Great 30% discount on regular and sale items. Discipline in time management. Good customer service training.

Cons

Unfair promotion rules- surpassed 60 point rule to get an increase but asst mgrs ignored. Worked so hard but not compensated. Salary-$8.50 per hour. Not enough if you work like a horse. Management favoritism. Some assistant managers and store managers who are good only in verbally ordering your task but you will never see them work with you. You will see them hanging out in their "leadership room" which is their office, chatting, eating and laughing while the store is in shambles and associates are so busy making the customers happy. Worked in Menlo Park Mall since opening for almost 9 months.

Pros

You learn a lot of the business; scheduling and payroll, labor management, how to create a daily workflow to accomplish business objectives. You're provided with detailed insights into a store's operations- it's P&L statement, total inventory and how convert key data into actionable plans. Simply put, you are challenged and will learn a lot.

Cons

Company and store experience varies greatly by store location. Unfortunately, management favoritism results in certain individuals getting better treatment and greater access to professional opportunities. Additionally, Company HR is very tepid when addressing store issues pertaining to behaviors exhibited by store management towards associates. Scheduling can be very inflexible and unaccommodating.
