Pros
Great place for people who honestly want to grow with this company. Great for people who don't like to ask questions and do what they are told. Great for people who like high stress retail environments. Great for people who are still in college looking to make extra cash or for people who have the time to be groomed to Uniqlo Standards and want to work there long term. Great for people who like the feeling of belonging to a group.
Cons
There is a group mentality/feel to working here. No one should stick out. You are expected to meet all Uniqlo Standards, recite 6 standard phrases attend morning meeting, replenish etc. Hours aren't that great. Every three months floor associates are up for a promotion, based on evaluations and hard work. This means that you are worked to the bone and sometimes given unrealistic timelines to complete work. You may also be working for managers who are biased. Work-Life Balance isn't great here. You are expected to work weekends even as part of leadership. Compensation seems competitive upon hiring but leaves much to be desired later. Leadership is very hierarchical as well as disorganized for a company that values efficiency. You are not allowed to go into overtime here, unless approved, which never happens. Very unprofessional environment to work in. Upon quitting, leadership seemed unprofessional and childish. Human Resources is not structured in a way for you to move up. They still expect you to know floor standards when that has nothing to go with your job. You are better off taking the route from store associate to manager. As of right now, Human Resources does not seem to be a priority to the company. This department doesn't have the resources its needs to be a great department. Make sure you ask all questions during an interview to make sure the job is best for you.
