Pros

You'll meet some awesome people depending where you work Great stepping stone as a first job because you learn a lot Every other retail store will feel easy after you worked here There is a lot of hours, most people I work with are getting 25+ a week, some even 30+ and this is all part time. There is growing opportunities but if you want to move up then good luck on the crazy amount of work they give you.

Cons

Management is horrible, I'm not saying all but their guidelines and goals are to unrealistic to accomplish. They want you to clean, greet customers, hop on cash registers, consistence layout changes, do gobacks, take care of fitting room, and they want you to keep a smile on at all time. While this is divided among your fellow coworkers, have fun explaining to your management team why you couldn't close down your zone within an hour or less when it felt like a hurricane hit the store and your store is low on coverage or being called to help on cash register every couple mins. because there is a long line even though there is clearly only 1 person standing in line. Above all that management is shady as well, because once you learn something new they expect you to keep doing what you learned and if you manage to learn some of their parts then you are going to do them without any extra raise. I have seen some of my coworkers here who gave it their all, do a really good job to get everything done, and even agree to staying overtime but never been promoted yet those who slack around and don't even understand the basics are promoted somehow, which is clearly one of the requirements for moving up. So if you are nice and motivated to want to move up then be careful because they will teach you then take advantage of that and make you do so much extra work that you are clearly not even supposed to do until you are higher up in the ranks. So if they are making you do extra work and doesn't have the intention of moving you up then that's a signal to quit because you probably aren't even considered to move up and their just taking advantage of you. There are so much more cons but if you choose to work here then all I can say is good luck hopefully you have nice coworkers to get along with because that's how I was able to survive a whole year, if it wasn't for them I would have quitted a long time ago.

Pros

You learn a lot of the business; scheduling and payroll, labor management, how to create a daily workflow to accomplish business objectives. You're provided with detailed insights into a store's operations- it's P&L statement, total inventory and how convert key data into actionable plans. Simply put, you are challenged and will learn a lot.

Cons

Company and store experience varies greatly by store location. Unfortunately, management favoritism results in certain individuals getting better treatment and greater access to professional opportunities. Additionally, Company HR is very tepid when addressing store issues pertaining to behaviors exhibited by store management towards associates. Scheduling can be very inflexible and unaccommodating.
