Pros

Focus on 1UR: team, family, inclusion, diversity, equity. I know when I call on a teammate that I am supported. Highly acquisitive with strategic gains to build fleet and talent. Strong desire to deliver solutions to all customers. The talent and experience within UR is amazing. I have zero intentions of leaving this company until I retire because of the genuine support, true team-based talent, and fantastic mentors throughout the company in all areas and levels.

Cons

Being highly acquisitive means that a variety of business approaches and behaviors must be shaped into 1UR best-in-class mentality, which takes time and resources. UR knows that the talent from companies acquired has worked and lived in a different environment and that gaining consistent world-class customer service depends on level-setting everyone -- new hires/acquisitions, especially. Quite simply, level-upping new/acquired talent can be slow going.

Pros

For the most part, United Rentals is a great company to work for. They care about their employees & promote growth from within.

Cons

The RELIABLE ONSITE SERVICES division is a total and complete DISGRACE to United Rentals name due to the Management team. Over worked and under-paid. Drivers should never come close to exceeding their DOT hours. Service trucks continuously break down, sometimes for weeks at a time. Promises are made by management but are not carried out. The way routes are dispatched is completely not efficient nor achievable. Employee's are moved in to the wrong positions.
