Pros

We take care of each other, fair pay, solid benefits, challenging work, great development and promotion opportunities, particularly if you're open to relocation.

Cons

Not for the feint of heart - it's hard work - but those who stay love it because of the daily dragon slaying that gives a strong sense of purpose. Like any company not all managers and business areas are created equal, but the company is doing a lot to improve the employee experience and develop strong leaders that see the bigger picture. There's been much improvement in the last several years and I see no signs of it slowing down.

Pros

For the most part, United Rentals is a great company to work for. They care about their employees & promote growth from within.

Cons

The RELIABLE ONSITE SERVICES division is a total and complete DISGRACE to United Rentals name due to the Management team. Over worked and under-paid. Drivers should never come close to exceeding their DOT hours. Service trucks continuously break down, sometimes for weeks at a time. Promises are made by management but are not carried out. The way routes are dispatched is completely not efficient nor achievable. Employee's are moved in to the wrong positions.
