Used to be a great place, now it is all about politics - Senior Manager Unity Employee Review

Pros

I had a great experience and improved my skills a lot. I also had a lot of freedom in deciding what to do and suggesting ideas. The people in my office were the best part of the workplace for me. The salary was decent, too.

Cons

In recent years, though, it became too political. The current CEO doesn’t seem to have a positive view of offices in Europe, as he suggests that Europeans are not ready to sacrifice a sensible work-life balance. As a result, offices there are being steadily cut, and more and more engineering responsibilities are being moved to the Americas. The senior leadership in my org (Grow) also tends to pick favorites, and if you are not in that category, you are basically screwed. In addition, the leadership kept carrying out reorganizations, each time promising that the new setup would “set us up for success.” Because of that, it was very difficult to plan beyond a six-month horizon. Literally, there were one or two reorgs every year.

Pros

Strong visibility across multiple internal business units (Sales, TAM, Product, Finance). Excellent place to sharpen your skills as a cross-functional "translator" because the data demands are constant and highly visible.

Cons

The organization suffers from significant corporate governance issues. There is a palpable operational bias and favoritism toward specific global offices (specifically Israel / Middle East leadership pipelines), resulting in a massive imbalance in how decisions are made, resources are allocated, and credit is given. Furthermore, psychological safety is practically non-existent in certain divisions; toxic management behavior, including professional bullying and systemic harassment, goes completely unchecked by HR, creating an incredibly stressful and exclusionary workplace.
