Pros

I have more often than not been working contracts in the past 10 years and in the majority of cases I haven't worried too much about the contract ending. In the role I am in and with my experience I would always easily find another company eager for my services so I wouldn't be too upset when the potential end was in sight. With Unity for the first time ever I just never want it to end, the thought of leaving Unity genuinely upsets me. The Pros are almost too numerous to list and for the most part it is much more than physical things. I had heard many lovely things about the Unity culture, the Unity way etc but I had dismissed it as sentimental hot air. I would say after the first 2 weeks it just clicks, for the first time ever Sunday becomes no longer a day of dread, you start to see people as friends not just colleagues, there is an excitement and desire to get stuck into your work. Unity are instantly so open, trusting and respectful that you want to repay it and reciprocate those feelings. I am in the Brighton studio and I can talk about the great BBQ's, the club nights, the weekly cinema trips (paid for by Unity), the VR room, free food and drink (inc copious booze on Fridays), the free snack shack (you name it they will have it), office massages, nights out, trips out, the fact you can choose your technology, loads of swag including coats, rucksacks and of course t-shirts, flexible hours, stock options, private health, pension etc etc etc etc......... All the above are great but it really is the UNITY culture that will blow you sideways and make you wish to stay here forever. After 20 years in the Games Industry trust me when I say this :-)

Cons

This is so tough, I have been sat here for 15minutes thinking hard, I know I need to find a negative because otherwise it will look too perfect. I suppose a lack of car park spaces is a pain, people having to park away from the office...but did I mention that Unity give you cash towards your commuting :-) I have also found that I have put an extra bit of weight on because of the snack shack (although healthy fruits, olives, fresh berries are available but where is the fun in those snacks!!)

Thank you for sharing your experience and positivity. We've worked hard to build a wonderful culture and it's great to hear you're enjoying it (and the snacks).

Pros

Strong visibility across multiple internal business units (Sales, TAM, Product, Finance). Excellent place to sharpen your skills as a cross-functional "translator" because the data demands are constant and highly visible.

Cons

The organization suffers from significant corporate governance issues. There is a palpable operational bias and favoritism toward specific global offices (specifically Israel / Middle East leadership pipelines), resulting in a massive imbalance in how decisions are made, resources are allocated, and credit is given. Furthermore, psychological safety is practically non-existent in certain divisions; toxic management behavior, including professional bullying and systemic harassment, goes completely unchecked by HR, creating an incredibly stressful and exclusionary workplace.
