Pros

- The core product is good - Great benefits (at least in 2022) - I had a pretty good time at the company before covid and various org changes, I had some nice colleagues. - Got to work on some cool projects and release some really nice things with my team

Cons

- Salaries were wildly different even in the same salary band with no explanation from HR or management (I did try to get one when I found out). - A lot of internal politics, a lot of managers with visions of products they abandoned as soon as they got a better position, which left their teams to deal with unsuccessful projects that eventually got scrapped - Not a lot of focus on core product or what made Unity successful, a lot of hype chasing with vague ideas and visions of the next new thing that never really materializes - I was part of one of the 2022 layoffs. The company attempted to "rehome" us. They claimed around 50% were rehomed, but any interview with internal teams was like interviewing as an external applicant. None of the hiring managers looked at actual work I had done in the company, and after two months(!) of stalling, I was told nobody could use me. The "rehoming" experience felt so much worse than being laid off, I truly felt disrespected on a personal level due to the vague feedback and the very long timeline that kept me hoping/on the hook. I never want to work here again after that treatment.

Pros

Strong visibility across multiple internal business units (Sales, TAM, Product, Finance). Excellent place to sharpen your skills as a cross-functional "translator" because the data demands are constant and highly visible.

Cons

The organization suffers from significant corporate governance issues. There is a palpable operational bias and favoritism toward specific global offices (specifically Israel / Middle East leadership pipelines), resulting in a massive imbalance in how decisions are made, resources are allocated, and credit is given. Furthermore, psychological safety is practically non-existent in certain divisions; toxic management behavior, including professional bullying and systemic harassment, goes completely unchecked by HR, creating an incredibly stressful and exclusionary workplace.
