Pros
Awesome, talented people who are all hardworking and extremely driven. Great work/life balance. People are in by 8-9 and mostly gone by 5. You're treated as an adult, if you get your work done, you can take off whatever time you need. Barely anyone works on weekends except if there are hard deadlines. It's a great balance compared to my previous companies. Things are getting better every week. The company has grown incredibly fast, probably too fast for it's own good so it's not perfect, but everyone is making a genuine effort to change things for the better. Brad Keywell is one of the most passionate CEOs I've ever encountered and by far the best I've had. He is genuine, committed, and inspiring. He sends out an email every Sunday night to motivate us for the week and encourages us to send him direct emails providing feedback on how we can make Uptake better.
Cons
I think some of the previous reviews are a bit dramatic. If you care more about the work you are doing and the difference you are making, rather than the political drama you will find at any company, you will love this place. The work is as stressful as you make it. It's challenging but that's what makes it exciting. If you can't handle it, don't work here. If challenges excite and motivate you, I highly recommend it. Upper management is heavily men but not due to lack of capable, deserving women. I think a healthier balance would greatly benefit Uptake.
