Pros

Co-workers, steady schedule(if you are full time only), benefits, salary, and a good place to work if you don't care about people and just care about getting a paycheck for doing bare minimum work.

Cons

Since management staffing has changed, there is a lot more micro-managing, putting the blame back on the employee instead of listening to and addressing a genuine concern, incredible difficulty getting a schedule change or adjustment, and insane attention to unnecessary details. Hard-working employees get the shaft while the non-hard working employees that do little to no work to slide by and there is little to NO consequence for such actions. If you bring a concern to management, you are viewed as a "complainer" or as being "negative". Management wants everyone to be silent robots and never have an objection or question to existing or new policies. New policies implemented on a monthly basis, sometimes completely changing the previous policy entirely. There were over 1000+ pages of changes in under a year, to be more specific. The only opportunity for advancement within the company is if you are one of the "silent robots" and kiss up to management.

Pros

Very friendly and helpful colleagues. I came to this company with very little experience and all of my colleagues helped and educated me with all things hospice care. I got promoted 4 months after being hired as a clerk into a secretary job. Best job I've ever have.

Cons

None that I can think of.

Pros

Great organization structure. significant opportunity to growth for lateral and/or vertical transition. Great compensation for all disciplines if done right, a great work life balance

Cons

Initial hiring, orientation is relatively slow may be even boring process. organization values people too much and believes in helping growth of individual so much so that some time slackers are able to survive longer then they should. which can cause loss of motivation for highly driven team members. the way I would survive if I am motivated for the cause is do what is right for you and your patients, apart from that just wait for the right time. Biggest pain point is EMR. this organization is slow to the game but the organization is building and perfecting home built EMR product to have maximum flexibility. currently going through growing pains.
