Great nursing staff but poor corporate support
Pros
Amazing nurses. Incredible group of caring and supportive clinical staff. On an individual level, all the nurses, physicians, pastoral care and social workers encountered are absolute dynamite who genuinely care for the patients and their outcomes.
Cons
It’s obvious this is a for-profit company. Financial considerations often appeared to take precedence over clinical concerns. The corporate staff pushes for admissions. They will be quick to take on patients without being willing to consider the global impact on their care. I’ve seen corporate be repeatedly quick to place blame on the clinical end despite dismissing several attempts by clinical staff to make them aware of major problems within the company. Overloading staff and under appreciating staff is chronic. Supplies are a constant problem. The field has constant turnover. High-performing nurses often seemed to receive increasing workloads rather than additional support. Nursing managers/case managers have high turnover as well.
