Cons

Management is horrible. Drivers/MST's are the lifeblood of the equipment side of this company and everything falls on them. "Customer Service" or dispatch doesn't clearly communicate with the "patients" (customers) nor do they support team members. This means you will be given urgent or rush deliveries at the last minute clear across town and if you do not make it to the address on time it counts as a strike against you. This also makes you late for subsequent originally scheduled stops. They will just keep piling stops to you all day until 7 or 8 oclock at night. If someone is not home and you have to leave a door card it counts as an exception. Which you also get in trouble for because corporate uses this as a metric for efficiency tracking over branches. To avoid this my manager asked that I text him at the end of the day to remove the stops from my route so they don't get counted. So it is a completely meaningless metric that the managers and corporate use to self flagellate at meetings. They don't care about the drivers they only care about their numbers and how they are perceived. I have never worked so hard for so little only to be chastised at every bogus opportunity

Pros

Very friendly and helpful colleagues. I came to this company with very little experience and all of my colleagues helped and educated me with all things hospice care. I got promoted 4 months after being hired as a clerk into a secretary job. Best job I've ever have.

Cons

None that I can think of.

Pros

Great organization structure. significant opportunity to growth for lateral and/or vertical transition. Great compensation for all disciplines if done right, a great work life balance

Cons

Initial hiring, orientation is relatively slow may be even boring process. organization values people too much and believes in helping growth of individual so much so that some time slackers are able to survive longer then they should. which can cause loss of motivation for highly driven team members. the way I would survive if I am motivated for the cause is do what is right for you and your patients, apart from that just wait for the right time. Biggest pain point is EMR. this organization is slow to the game but the organization is building and perfecting home built EMR product to have maximum flexibility. currently going through growing pains.
