Pros

Valmont has relatively good benefits when compared with other companies it's same size.

Cons

Compared to other companies I have worked for, Valmont Industries surpasses all others in intimidating, coercing, and ragging on their employees in training instead of educating them as a training method. I was never in the military but have never before been ragged on, insulted and intimidated by any other employer the way I've been treated at Valmont. I took a two dollar cut in pay to work at Valmont then was reduced in pay two more dollars an hour before my 90 day probationary period was over because they were not satisfied with my progress.

Pros

Nothing is good with this company

Cons

This is the worst place you can work. If I were you, I would go elsewhere; the culture and management made this frustrating. Collaboration is null, and the environment between departments is always a blame game instead of solving problems. You are expected to take more responsibilities without pay increases. Career development also does not exist; you will not learn any minimal skills that can be used outside of the company. You will not grow professionally here, and on top of this, you will be breathing aluminum dust ALL DAY. The office looks trashy with black spots everywhere on the ventilation vents, not to mention they don't have a document to support the training, so everyone is doing their own thing inside a system that is not efficient. The CEO gets his mouth full saying we are making profits that are reaching records, with no pay increase.
