Pros

Valmont does have a track record of giving annual raises and pays really well for the area.

Cons

It will pay for a good family life but it sure won't lead to one. If you don't mind working 6-7 days a week during the summer this is the place to come. The shop floor people are expected to work 50-70 hours a week, while management stays home on the weekends. They don't care you have a family. One time after working 2 months straight, was told by management at a meeting, if you want a day off take vacation.

Pros

Nothing is good with this company

Cons

This is the worst place you can work. If I were you, I would go elsewhere; the culture and management made this frustrating. Collaboration is null, and the environment between departments is always a blame game instead of solving problems. You are expected to take more responsibilities without pay increases. Career development also does not exist; you will not learn any minimal skills that can be used outside of the company. You will not grow professionally here, and on top of this, you will be breathing aluminum dust ALL DAY. The office looks trashy with black spots everywhere on the ventilation vents, not to mention they don't have a document to support the training, so everyone is doing their own thing inside a system that is not efficient. The CEO gets his mouth full saying we are making profits that are reaching records, with no pay increase.
