Pros

Strong and diverse talent, great clientele, flexible WFH policy, global offices, relative autonomy, pay can be high (or conversely, very low)

Cons

Heavy focus on margins, people are seen as "resources" and feel expendable, pressure to be billable, long hours, no bonuses, don't promote often from within, outgrowing the physical office (lack of meeting rooms)

Valtech Response

Thank you for your recent review and for highlighting some of the positive aspects of working for Valtech. Regarding some of your areas of concern, Valtech has been working hard over the past several months to address some of the issues you have raised in your review. Specifically, we are in the process of transitioning to a new delivery model which should solve some of the issues you mention including overworked teams and lack of motivation. Additionally, Valtech understands the important role the HR Team provides to the employees. We recently hired a Manager of People and Engagement in NYC as well as a Director of People and Culture in North America. This team will be implementing new processes and programs that will help drive employee engagement and satisfaction which is a top priority for Valtech. At Valtech we genuinely care about and place the highest value on each and every single one of our employees. Our greatest strengths lie in the skill, judgement and talent of our employees. We recognize that our success is related directly to the dedication and performance of our employees. We believe in the potential of people who are inspired, engaged and work together for common goals & objectives.” The People and Culture Team

Pros

Great work environment. Real commitment to diversity that goes beyond the surface level.

Cons

Thin spread of employees that results in a lot of work on each contributor individually.

Pros

Great well known clients & interesting projects.

Cons

There are no growth opportunities; people managers don't know how to lead; there are layoffs every 2 months for the past 18 months; there is no training (employees are told to learn on their own time / weekends) because if they are not >50% chargeable, they are on the RIF list. The company grew through acquisitions but never integrated or unified the various companies. There are no standard processes, everything is ad hoc. There were no raises this year and no bonuses either of the last 2 years.
