Pros

Over the past 2 years I have worked at 4 different companies and nothing ever felt like the right fit until I landed at Valtech. Not only are the people absolutely amazing, kind, and talented but the work feels challenging and rewarding. I don't need a pat on the back for the work that I do but everyone is always sure to make you feel appreciated. My team feels less like a work unit and more like my friends, that goes for my manager as well. They are always there to lend an ear should I need advice in work or my personal life. I am very grateful that a company like Valtech exists because it makes a job feel less like a chore and more like working on projects with friends. On top of all this, I find that there are great job opportunities here. No one is going to stop you from pursuing something you're passionate about and there are always ways to help with projects to further your career goals. Culture is amazing, lots of lunch & learns and office game/movie nights. There's a Valtech arcade machine, stocked beer/wine fridges, and a popcorn machine. Also, it's dog friendly! Nothing better than a furry friend stopping by to say hi!

Cons

The biggest con for me is that there are a bunch of employees who mostly work from home and so even though I have been at the company for almost 6 months now I can't match everyone's name to their face. I'm very connected to all my colleagues in the office and though I know it isn't feasible for all to come to the office everyday because some live far away, I would still like to see them more.

Pros

Great work environment. Real commitment to diversity that goes beyond the surface level.

Cons

Thin spread of employees that results in a lot of work on each contributor individually.

Pros

Great well known clients & interesting projects.

Cons

There are no growth opportunities; people managers don't know how to lead; there are layoffs every 2 months for the past 18 months; there is no training (employees are told to learn on their own time / weekends) because if they are not >50% chargeable, they are on the RIF list. The company grew through acquisitions but never integrated or unified the various companies. There are no standard processes, everything is ad hoc. There were no raises this year and no bonuses either of the last 2 years.
