Pros

Left alone a lot. There isn't much in the way of oversight, management can be fairly clueless. If you know anything you will be relied upon a lot. Training - there was a training budget.

Cons

There's more enthusiasm than knowledge. Leadership heavy with split responsibilities all over the place. Who likes having multiple bosses? The place was thick with office politics. Also, when I was there security wasn't thought about very much. I was pretty much expecting bad security news on a regular basis.
