Pros

Attempt to have a professional culture, several great colleagues, but in the end an epic fail. You should be able to get a better job easily.

Cons

Significantly below market pay and bonus. Do not let the first year salaries fool you. After your 3rd year, salaries get compressed and bonuses are non-existent. Laterals are rarely integrated on any reasonable level. The credit system Combined with significantly below market pay rewards work hoarding and complete lack of cooperation. The IP group is horrendous and the worst offender. A very few attorneys have actual work and as a result, equity partners are feeding equity partners with very little room for advancement or experience for younger attorneys. Practice areas and groups are monopolized. Attorneys are hired then left to fend for themselves. Only the very few survive. IP leaders are not in it for the group but rather in it for themselves.

Pros

The other attorneys and staff are great. The New York office was recently renovated and is amazing.

Cons

Salaries are lower than the top firms, but work life balance is better.

Pros

Office culture is inclusive and friendly. Salary is somewhat competitive for staff. Bonuses are not generous. Benefits are average. Most attorneys are great to work with, but there are some of difficult attorneys that can make one’s life miserable. LAAs handle lot of billing responsibilities. Overall, a good place to work if you don’t mind the above.

Cons

Your happiness depends, in part, by who you work for. Small bonuses and raises.
