Pros

New facility. nice office - some perks and discount

Cons

This company is a joke and all the reviews pretty much sum it up. IT IS a total sorority house and flooded with people who basically click together and act like they're in preschool. Only looking out for themselves in most situations. It has great reviews by those obviously being paid to write them or better yet being forced to in order to recruit in the HR department. Several great people left while the company was undergoing major change and now has become a robotic work environment. You either fit in or you don't and people are constantly bullied. I heard through someone that works here that one girl's performance was "questioned" all because she was pregnant. How they didn't get sued for this is beyond me?? A few others have been seen crying in bathrooms and treated so poorly they literally are only left to either stay and be miserable because they can't find work elsewhere in the area (one of them is me) or "forced out" and with no help by HR. All this company cares about is making money (which most companies should) but not ALL successful companies operate this way. If they would invest in treating their employees with respect or better yet "coach executive teams" perhaps this would make a difference. After doing all that though I don't even know if it would make a difference. The company also has a reputation of hiring people in and throwing them at a job they can't do. I hear this out in public all the time and it's embarrassing to know I work for them. One guy told me after he left the company that they threw him into a job he thought he was qualified for and understood through 3 rounds of interviews only to be hired and on day 2! His job was completely not what he signed up for. This left him at a huge disadvantage prepping him to fail up front. The company puts all the blame on the employee and takes no fault for their crappy recruiting process. Worst of all Barbara Bradley spends more time painting the walls and reorganizing furniture WHILE your trying to work than paying attention to what should matter most - her team. Like fish in a sea - they bait them in to the offer with great pay and benefits and throw them wherever they need to fill the gap in hopes they survive. If they would just invest in some sort of recruitment training or even a "how to treat people nicely" course of some sort it could help tremendously. This wouldn't cost them a thing if they just hired respectful people. Unfortunately this company lost the best thing they had a long time ago - hometown values.

Pros

-Good employee discount of excellent product -Competitions set on all levels of the field to strive in -Extremely great comradery amongst each other with respect for one another (you are not just a number or a location - you are a person) with healthy communications between the fields -We serve a vast and wonderful clientele to market/sell too- -Although the rebrand was not the success some thought it would be, VB is getting back to where she once was and that is amazing! -Diversity holiday time -There is a general concern for both success, respect and diversity

Cons

-Setbacks on for tools/communication engines that lead to some confusion task management -Store closers vs proactive store relocations -Logistical inventory issues -Shopper surveys closed down (previous management choice) -There is little opportunity for internal promotions for career growth

Loved this job until new upper management swap! DMs micromanaging constantly & are constantly adding new ops which make it hard to focus on sales!
