Pros

I joined Verizon as a fresher and the team and people I was with were like a family to me. Made me feel welcomed and provided me with a gradual learn as I develop platform to work on. Really grateful for all the years I have spent with Verizon. Pros that I found. 1. Great support by the team and leaders. 2. WFH during pandemic. Pre-pandemic WFH allocation was also reasonable. 3. Free snacks. 4. Laptops and other tech provided without any hassle. 5. State-of-the-art office spaces, really going to miss them. 6. Employee friendly, make sure that your voice is heard. 7. Leaves - in total you get up to 54 days of paid leave. 8. WFH allowance.

Cons

Not all is perfect, and I do accept that but want to highlight that pros have definitely outweighed the cons. Certainly this is not a platform to discuss this as well. But if I have to be choosy I would say few processes needs to be reviewed as they don't deem to be of this pandemic age.

Pros

Compensation is competitive but you will work very hard for it. Culture is excellent and exhibited and practiced from the top down. Benefits are excellent and cost reasonable. 401k match and profit sharing. Lots of training and professional development opportunities. Can advance if you're willing to relocate.

Cons

Company is trying to transform into what it wants to be beyond a wireless carrier (cloud?, security?, telematics?, wholesaler?, etc) and is struggling with a vision, resources, and org structure to make it a reality. Several re-organizations over last few years so job security has frequently been a question. Often delayed response to competitors caused by management's concern that acting would result in not meeting Wall Street expectations. Not the "happiest" place to work because no result is ever good enough and successes aren't celebrated because the focus is always on the next weekly/monthly/quarterly goal.
