Pros
- top tech/tools (saleforce, outreach, looker, apple,) - benefits (medical, dental, commuter, gym all covered) - hard working teammates, we cover for each other, encourage each other to do more and do better - leadership. both my direct manager and director are female. Some of the most competent and knowledgable people I've worked for - meetings with our CEO that are in the format of either open forum or webinar. Questions highly highly encouraged. nothing is off limits. once or twice a month - consciously changing the way we hire. trying to partner with non profits/organizations in the diversity space (black, latinx, lgbtq, asian, women) - i can see our active efforts on trying to dismantle the legacy left by previous employees - as someone who's lower on the pecking order, my input is still requested when it comes to how we can better our org/culture. and not just in the form of a google survey but during 1:1 meetings - trainings on unconscious bias (i never ever even heard of this before and it's so so important that we're educated on this) - roundtable discussion on the rise in asian hate crime where every body got a chance to speak. over 300 attendants in a company of 500 (can u say ur company did this) - everyone I've interacted with isn't just here for a paycheck. Everyone here knows about Verkada's past and we're all choosing to build a better brand and reputation - catered lunch everyday, snacks, drinks - Verkademy (our SDR/BDR program aimed at developing entry level sales talent, clear metrics on promotion to AE, transparent levels of achievement) - i can see myself here for the next >3 years, there's a lot of work to be done
Cons
- coming into the office during covid (although masks required, constant cleaning of high touch spaces by janitors who are there literally all day) - no 401k match
