Pros

It's a very fast paced environment which opens the door to a lot of opportunities for growth and learning. I am able to wear a lot of different hats and have a large say in the building of our team, as well as the sales team. The employees here are all great and have fostered a culture that has healthy competition, and anyone is more than willing to take the time out of their day to help. Working very cross-functionally with marketing, sales, leadership, solutions engineers, and product has only proven that. I also have to compliment the sales ops team specifically, who jumps on ways to make internal processes better. The process for this is not long and drawn out, and they are very open to feedback and ideas. Outside of my own role, Verkada does a lot to show employees that they care. The benefits are impressive (gym, commuter benefits, covid vaccine coordination, meals, investing in team bonding, etc). This team makes it exciting to come in every day!

Cons

Being a start-up, you'll still find some growing pains such as systems improvements, having to build programs from scratch, etc. I thrive in roles where your to-do list changes every day, but I know this isn't everyone's jam. We have quarterly projects and goals, but we are adding new smaller projects day to day in order to grow just as quickly as the org. The parking is growing more difficult at HQ because we're outgrowing the lot.

Pros

Some of the people are kind, intelligent, and very thoughtful, which made the rest manageable when it unbearable Fancy perks: food, coffee bar

Cons

This is the worst company I have ever worked for. Inexperienced leadership and middle management creates an air of stress, anxiety, and frustration across all areas of the workplace. People often snap at each other, burn out, and successes are rarely recognized or celebrated. There is no sense of team unity. I even witnessed a monkey being brought into the office to be posed for photos during an end of quarter celebration. There is little flexibility for people not being in-office due to family/outside issues. There are too many meetings with no clear organization or purpose, and messages/emails are often sent late into the night, on holidays, and on weekends. I wish someone had warned me not to work here before I started, it was some of the worst days of my life.
