Pros

Verkada develops new product lines at an incredible pace that have strong product market fit in a massive addressable market. Together these product lines are clearly better than alone and this makes our customers never look elsewhere (very little churn). There is barely any competition in our market and the product basically sells itself as long as you put in effort. If an in-office environment is what you've been craving for since 2019, there's only one place and that's Verkada. The thriving office is filled with passionate employees that build human connections beyond work. The office is beautiful, workplace just launched our very own hot-food cafeteria with multiple options for lunch and dinner. You can tell, we really care about the fast-paced culture and have off-sites and in-office events that make my own friends who come wish they worked here. Top leadership is as experienced as they get and there's a clear biased to promote from within. We have a high-performance culture, I suspect most bad reviews are from employees who are underperforming or have been recently terminated.

Cons

We can better integrated engineering / sales / marketing together, feels a little silo'ed sometimes. You probably won't find a good balance of work/life culture but that's understood given at the stage we're at as a startup. Work is so much fun, that we don't care for the most part.

Pros

Some of the people are kind, intelligent, and very thoughtful, which made the rest manageable when it unbearable Fancy perks: food, coffee bar

Cons

This is the worst company I have ever worked for. Inexperienced leadership and middle management creates an air of stress, anxiety, and frustration across all areas of the workplace. People often snap at each other, burn out, and successes are rarely recognized or celebrated. There is no sense of team unity. I even witnessed a monkey being brought into the office to be posed for photos during an end of quarter celebration. There is little flexibility for people not being in-office due to family/outside issues. There are too many meetings with no clear organization or purpose, and messages/emails are often sent late into the night, on holidays, and on weekends. I wish someone had warned me not to work here before I started, it was some of the worst days of my life.
