Pros

Coworkers make it enjoyable, can get OT almost all the time

Cons

This place has turned into a very unprofessional environment and has new management (senior managers and managers) trying to teach new employees the business which they don't know themselves. They have no sick pay or vacation pay and work their employees and supervisors to exhaustion. Overtime is always mandated the day after a holiday and they add overtime into your schedule at anytime. They don't care about you or your family just meeting their numbers. Senior Managers threaten to fire people and think that's supposed to make them work harder. They have training classes starting like every other month because they start with 15 people and end with like 5 coming out onto the production floor now. The turnover is horrible now but no one seems to see that. Senior management talks about the employees like a dog and then smile in your face. Workforce will deny your PTO but wonder why you call in and now they don't have enough agents to take the calls coming in for the next few days. The way most see it is if you miss 1 day you might as well miss 3 and get the 1 full occurrence because their attendance policy stinks and management cares more about quality and their numbers more than they do about the customers now. Their software is outdated and they are so far behind their years in technology. The pay compared to other companies and what they have you doing is slave wages. This is slavery and the sweatshop of the 21st century!!

Cons

My experience at VertexOne started positively, but over time several operational and leadership challenges became clear. The department frequently operated without clearly defined workflows or standardized procedures. There appeared to be limited focus on implementing consistent process improvements or establishing operational structure, which created confusion and inefficiencies for the team. Overall, the department seemed to lack the operational alignment and governance typically needed for teams to work efficiently at scale, and they were not receptive to process improvement ideas. Communication and direction from leadership could be incredibly inconsistent. At times priorities or guidance changed without clear explanation, which made it difficult for employees to execute work confidently and maintain accountability. Stronger leadership experience in building structured, process-driven teams would significantly benefit the department. The tone and style of communication from leadership occasionally felt less professional than expected in a corporate environment. A stronger emphasis on professionalism and clear communication standards would improve the overall work environment. The volume of meetings was extremely high, often exceeding 20 per week. Many of these could likely have been replaced with written updates, allowing employees more time for focused work. Despite the heavy meeting load, after-hours communication about urgent items was still common.
