Pros
Started with VetCor 4 yrs ago as a hospital manager with over 12 years experience as a technician in various hospital settings. I have grown with VetCor and now work as part of the corporate group working in practice development, operational field support, and acquisitions. The health of the hospitals is the primary concern. While that includes revenue growth and cost control (as it does in every veterinary hospital) it is understood and encouraged that ONLY focusing on numbers is not the only way to successfully achieve that. Each hospital is urged to maintain individuality while taking advantage of the resources presented to them as a VetCor hospital. As a technician, I've been given great opportunities to grow and use my unique skill set to help the hospitals improve individually as well as contribute to the company as a whole. I've also been challenged which, if you are looking to grow and make an impact, is essential.
Cons
As with any growing company, there are growing pains. Change is hard for any hospital (let alone 150) and finding the right way to do something sometimes takes more time than anyone would like.
