The work here is meaningful and impactful, but during my short time with this company I saw at least 10 employees laid off or fired. There were budget cuts and pay reductions. Company goals and processes changed frequently, and it felt like leadership was always chasing the next big client deal, rather than focusing on client retention. Subsequently, clients cancelled contracts. The current healthcare climate overall contributed to cancellations as well. In addition, the product team I worked on had many tech issues, which impacted quality and reliability of the devices. Instead of taking a proactive approach to resolving client concerns, it was always reactive, making the job of a client partner very difficult at times. A lot of energy was spent attempting to resolve immediate issues, leaving little bandwidth to focus on large-scale changes for the future. The lack of transparency between leadership and employees was a common complaint. There was little insight into what decisions were being made and why. I frequently questioned if the company was even profitable. So, if you’re someone who thrives on innovation, uncertainty, and rapidly changing plans, I’d say go for it. If you’re someone who likes to come into work every day knowing your position won’t be eliminated, and prefers clearly defined roles/expectations and goals, this might not be the best fit.
