Pros
Good benefits and experience, looks good on resume. Decent work life balance if you’re good at setting boundaries. The company offers a lot of progessional development opportunities.
Cons
Incredibly toxic culture. People work to sabotage others and literally have slack channels dedicated to talking and belittling other people, including high level executives. Everything is politically driven, people who are not as skilled but fall in line tend to advance more than those who do their jobs but stand their ground. You will be set up for failure if you don’t have the right manager. Executives will blame their failures on team members instead of taking responsibility for bad decisions. You have to constantly be watching your back and what you say, pretend you don’t hear the whispers and keep your head down which in my experience requires quite a bit of effort and takes away from the actual work.
