Pros

Good benefits, decent pay, great allotment of time off

Cons

Poor communication across the company. You never know who to contact for anything & no one else knows either. They say there's no hierarchy but there is. Some people act like they're better than you & are very entitled. Some leaders speak disrespectfully to support staff. Administrative Support are treated like they don't matter. Not even an acknowledgement on Admin Professional's Day. No kind of acknowledgements all - birthday, holiday...very strange environment. Being laid off turned out to be a blessing as I was not happy there. They are heartless, unfeeling people. Not at all what I thought Gore would be. A lot of people lost their jobs and yet they've spent tons of money on picnics and parties and stay in expensive, luxury hotels when they travel for business. It's disgusting. So glad to be gone from there.

Pros

Great benefits and pay helps and feels great, initially.

Cons

The workplace culture is highly toxic and not as supportive of talent as they let on. High performers are targeted by internal cliques who deliberately engineer situations for them to fail. Management entirely condones this behavior, while simultaneously expecting absolute perfection from employees under impossible conditions—forgetting that people are not AI. Furthermore, professional merit is ignored; higher levels of education, years of experience, and employee longevity mean absolutely nothing. Management relies heavily on deflection and stalling tactics to delay growth opportunities. It is an exhausting environment that penalizes hard work and actively blocks career advancement. Overall, the company falls short with their original principles and core foundations for its employees/Associates.
