Pros

Weekly pay is always goog here at WM. Medical and dental benefits are decent. Drivers here seem to take care of each other.

Cons

Management is always back stabbing each other. Managers dont care obout you as a human being. They treat everybody like machines. They expect you to finish a route with over 180 bins in less than 11 hours. God forbid you can't finish cause you can kiss your weekly bonus good bye. Asking for a saturday is unexceptable. (when they get 3 day weekends). Working over 64 hours a week sounds good but your body really feels it after a whyle. Oh and another thing we have 8 PTO days off a year (personal time off) They just told us in a meeting that we can't call in sick. If we do they will determine over the phone if we are sick or not. Overall Waste management will work you to the ground and after 20+ years in the company they will let you go just because you are not as productive as another driver that has been there for 2 or 3 years. We never have time to ourselves we work over 11 hours a day and our short day 8 hours on Saturday. You are never home thats why we have such a high divorce rate.

Pros

to be honest no pros.

Cons

Working here was stressful, I was starting to deal with anxiety and panic attacks especially when dealing with my Supervisor who was awful since the moment he arrived. I'm one to always be respectful no matter what but at some point you loose respect and you can't allow anyone to disrespect doesn't matter if he's your boss. They fire the hard working people while keeping the ones that do more damage in the work place. Ones that could hurt other employees yet nothing was done while firing the good ones. The Manager that arrived before I was let go was even worst! I wasn't sure what I needed to let her know or not know because since day one when I communicated with her she just brushed me off and never got back to me about anything or she told me to take her off all the emails she was attached to. Then threaten me on an email if I didn't show up to work when I had requested a day off. I mean there's a lot more I can say about both of them. Now about HR... after I was let go I requested termination documents and personnel file in January I waited a month to do a follow up got the run arounds then I was told they were going to get back to me. I waited and did another follow up they ignored my email I did another follow up and got ignored again we are now in April still nothing.
