Pros

Generally good people to work with in your immediate team, immediate bosses and those underneath you. Benefits are good. flexible work schedule if you manage and get your work done. Part work from home.

Cons

High turnover which has to be constantly managed. Very corporate feel and terrible processes. I feel like they nickel and dime you and erode your salary even though hourly rate increases each year (reduce hours, limit ot, 7.5 hour days even if your work more, etc.). Bonus structure is very calculated with very little thought on individual performance or extra work completed, and is largely based on how the corporation does and not an individual or immediate team group.

Pros

Travel to places you don't know they exist

Cons

1. Short notice to report to a field office (often within 24 hours) with little to no idea of what to expect, where you will be working, where you will stay, or how long your deployment will last. Work allocation is entirely management-driven, meaning you can sit without any assignments for months or even a year. 2. Unfair Quality Control: Quality control (QC) inspectors often create unnecessary friction. Reviews and corrections are frequently based on subjective bias or a complete lack of knowledge—such as out-of-state QC inspectors overriding local inspectors who actually understand the regional context and situation. 3. Deeply Inequitable Work Distribution: The process for assigning work lacks fairness. It is not uncommon to be released and sent home just a week after starting before you're getting up to speed—while new cohorts of inspectors continue to arrive for training. Internal Work Competition: QC inspectors who have been in the field for months are competing for active assignments when the workflow slows down.
