Good tools, poor day-to-day leadership - Account Executive WWEX Group Employee Review

Pros

The company has strong buying power and a large carrier network, which makes it easier to get conversations started with customers. Pricing leverage is real, and the compensation itself was fair.

Cons

Management quality and company culture were the biggest issues. There was clear favoritism, and it showed in how people were treated, supported, and recognized. I personally experienced uncomfortable situations where celebrating or supporting another employee was met with weird behavior and tension instead of encouragement. Manager availability was a constant problem. During the workday, support was minimal or nonexistent, especially when deals actually needed help. Then expectations suddenly changed at the end of the day, with pressure to stay late for recaps or conversations that could have happened during business hours. There was a lot of talk about accountability, but it felt one-sided. Reps were expected to perform at a high level without consistent access to leadership, coaching, or real-time guidance. When things didn’t move fast enough, the blame landed on reps instead of on the lack of support. The culture felt tense and political rather than collaborative. Instead of building people up, it often felt like you were walking on eggshells, trying not to be on the wrong side of management.
