I think the UPS portion of the business was the hardest part. You cannot hit majority of the pay raises without it, and the margin on UPS accounts especially eccomerce is relatively low. The communication from UPS to WWEX is not the best and I feel like UPS should value WWEX more than they do. I learned that there are multiple re-sellers of UPS and this is something candidates should really consider before accepting an offer. “WWEX is the only reseller that also resells UPS” but you still have to consider UniShippers (partner) and maybe even Global Tranz in the future (new partner). The credibility of that statement is sort of a moot point and obviously FDX still has their LTL and small parcel packages they do. Again, if you are okay with going through the weeds with UPS- I say go for it, and ask a lot of questions so you do not waste your time, or the company’s.
