Most of thhe employees on the store level are really cool people. I love working with them.
Cons
First off, the Wallis' got way in over their heads when they acquired Dirt Cheap. They had, and still have, no idea how to run a liquor store. Failed attempt after attempt to "fix" the stores, they blame the staff instead of taking responsibility and admitting they have no clue. They thought they could run a liquor store like one of their gas stations, well you can't, both legally and as a store. They don't pay any attention to what happens in the stores, such as delivery size, amount of deliveries, or how long it takes to put them away, they pay no attention to dollar amounts on sales, only the number of customer. And set goals and budgets that we couldn't possibly reach, because they don't care what the customers are buying or want, they want all the same products in all stores, well spoiler alert, you can't do that for liquor stores. The products in stock should be based on the wants of the cusmters, which certain areas sell more bulk, more singles, more cigarettes, more chew, but they don't care, the Wallis' only want to do what they want, even if it fails, then they will blame you, the store employees, for it not working. Or complain that you aren't hitting hours, and then sends you employees you didn't need or ask for, and then still complain you aren't hitting your hours. Dirt Cheaps where thriving under the Taylors, and now most are struggling just to keep employees, or under contains threat from upper management. Figure it out, and maybe listen to your store managers, some have been running Dirt Cheaps for longer than most of the people working for Wallis.
