Pros

Student quality was average - many first generation college students seeking careers. Fellow faculty in my department were collegial and supportive.

Cons

Low pay, horrible benefits, heavy workload, no respect from upper administration. In a committee I witnessed the VP say to a request for course release time for research from a top scholar, "If he really was a top scholar he wouldn't be here at Washburn."
