Pros
If you are in one of the "cliques" you will have much support from your coworkers.
Cons
Terrible management. The few staff nurses in the managers pockets are treated very well, schedule/OT preference. It is very hard to trust your coworkers, not knowing who is really a mole for management. This is a widespread sentiment. Very weak CNA representation, also cuddled up to management. Pt care is far below power plays in importance. I was told by the long term RN's it was a great place to work until approx 2012-2013, when pt care, staffing, morale, etc all tanked. One of the very few hospitals that mandates benefitted RN's start at 5 days a week (40 hour). After 2+ years you can decrease to 4 days a week! Work/Life balance is nonexistent.
