Pros

The STATE were here all summer 2017 investigating numerous complaints of patient neglect, forcing staff to work OFF THE CLOCK, staff intimidation and cover-ups.

Cons

Management will do ANYTHING TO GET THEIR BONUSES!!! 1. Intimidating staff into working off the clock. 2. Intimidating staff into signing-off on training which they have never received. 3. Intimidating staff into giving up vacation and other benefits (ie: sure you can take some of your two weeks of vacation a year. But that week off...I'm going to need you to come in for two shifts right in the middle of the week. What? You changed your mind? Thanks, the hospital really appreciates it...) Anyone who doesn't go along with their strong-arm tactics, gets labeled a complainer and is driven out. I've seen Managers drive two staff nurses into full on nervous breakdowns, and one suicide. Turnover at the staff nurse level is huge, but its covered up so they can still pretend to be Magnet Status. They loose 50% of their new RNs after one year, and 75% after two years. Why should they stay, when they are treated like trash.

Pros

The staff members at WHHS care for their patients and the patient's well-being is considered to be their first priority. Employees (non-management) in general exhibit a team player attitude and create a feeling of camaraderie in the workplace.

Cons

The leadership of this organization rule with fear and intimidation. Unfortunately, this leadership style has affected the culture of the organization and creates an underlying sense of fear which prohibits healthy contribution and growth. Leadership interaction is often unnecessarily negative and punitive regardless of facts. Team members are very aware of the consequences of speaking the truth and due to fear will deliver messages in alignment with senior leaders to prevent termination.

Pros

Great pay and benefits.

Cons

Regular employees have NO VOICE! Only when it's something that management wants to hear. Upper management is being paid WAY TOO MUCH! for what they really do.
