Pros

Wayspring is a truly a special place to work. Wayspring has the trifecta of attributes you want in an organization: 1) strong mission, 2) great people, and 3) meaningful and challenging work. For attribute #1, strong mission, everyone at Wayspring is drawn to work here due to some connection to the meaning of our work. The team is tied together by this thread of making an impact on the lives we serve, and it makes the work that much more meaningful. Secondly, this organization has some of the smartest, most talented individuals I have worked with to date. I am constantly learning from my co-workers and impressed by the quality and speed of the work we are able to produce. Lastly, Wayspring is doing something that no other company has figured out - so there are always interesting problems to solve. Overall, I have worked at wonderful organizations in the past, but I can genuinely say that Wayspring has been the best place I have worked thus far in my career. Could not recommend Wayspring more to others!

Cons

There are few cons of working at Wayspring, but something to highlight is the intensity of the work we do. In the field of substance use disorder, our team members deal with topics that can be triggering and mentally draining. It is important to balance the hard stories with the positive impact we are having on individual lives across the country.

Pros

They pay very well and the schedules are flexible, meaningful work

Cons

Extremely high workload, very few opportunities for advancement although they tell you otherwise. Leadership is not person centered as the mission states, merely concerned with numbers. Most don't make it past 3-5 years of employment, people are fired regularly. Health insurance benefits are basically non existent
