Pros

Some people seem to be helped with their substance use problems through the work the front line staff performs. You will meet good people here who have learned to adapt to the circumstances. Benefits are good overall. Some opportunities to expense training for your work.

Cons

The amount of terminations of people I work closely with in the time I've been here has been higher than I've ever seen, even at much larger companies. They are done suddenly and effective immediately, then sometimes not even explicitly communicated to the staff that work with that person. Leadership says they value feedback, but decisions are rather top-down and the unpredictable nature of terminations and the circumstances surrounding them lead me to believe that candid feedback is viewed as a problem. Internal processes, structure, and staffing change so often that it feels like building a home on quicksand. The standard excuse is that we are a startup which must pivot quickly, however we have surpassed the definition of a startup as far as I can tell. It feels more like desperate grasping at straws or internal politics than anything. Reports by colleagues of sexist mistreatment went unaddressed. Employees from various parts of the companies often express that their job duties were not as initially described.

Thank you for your feedback. We strive to hire people who genuinely care, so we are glad you experienced that and enjoyed working with good people! While some of your perspective is hard to hear, we want you to know how much we appreciate you sharing feedback with us. We can assure you that all sexual mistreatment and harassment claims are taken seriously and thoroughly investigated, even if findings cannot be shared publicly due to each employee's right to confidentiality. Additionally, we're sorry you've had a poor experience with transitions and changes. However, Wayspring strives to be transparent about regular changes throughout the interview process, as we are always evolving for the betterment of our members, and sometimes this includes changes in positions and departments. Please contact us directly at hr@wayspring.com if you have additional information you would like to share. Again, thank you for taking the time to give us this feedback. - Wayspring Team

Pros

They pay very well and the schedules are flexible, meaningful work

Cons

Extremely high workload, very few opportunities for advancement although they tell you otherwise. Leadership is not person centered as the mission states, merely concerned with numbers. Most don't make it past 3-5 years of employment, people are fired regularly. Health insurance benefits are basically non existent
