Pros

The nursing CEO has vast knowledge in both mental heath and acute care.

Cons

Lowest pay in the area , horrible heath insurance, night nursing supervisors have zero acute care experience their worthless in medical emergency. Supervisors cannot even work the floor they don't know what to do. No security. They admit anyone very aggressive and homicidal patients. Now taking mentally ill from the jails. This facility all about profitabilty.. They do not care about nursing retention, their replacing nursing staff with inexperienced young new grad nurses with max of year experience from nursing agency. Also hire nursing supervisors that have acute care knowledge or at least knows how work the floor , when you call night shift supervisor they usually cannot answer your question or help you with any paperwork or medical care. Your supervisors don't even know how draw blood.

Pros

The work is meaningful, and I’ve had the opportunity to help people during difficult times. I’ve gained valuable clinical experience, worked with supportive coworkers, and had opportunities to develop my skills. The benefits and job stability are also positives.

Cons

Communication between departments could be improved, and workloads can become overwhelming at times. Staffing shortages sometimes increase stress and make it difficult to maintain a healthy work-life balance. There are opportunities to improve support for frontline clinicians.
