They recruit you with promises and discard you with paperwork. The more tenure you are near to a expiration date. By year 3, someone in HR & Management already knows your name for the wrong reasons. Management does not lead they collect loyalists. Your career trajectory here has exactly two paths: agree with everything your manager says, or begin your quiet removal. There is no third option. Competence without submission is a threat, not an asset. PIPs are not performance improvement plans. They are eviction notices written in corporate language. Almost every department has multiple employees on one simultaneously ask yourself, is an entire department suddenly underperforming, or is the company quietly cleaning House?

• Interview process was personal, thoughtful, and conversational — I always felt like a human being, not an application. • Leadership and Talent Acquisition were transparent and respectful throughout. • The people here genuinely care about the work and one another. • Many employees have been with West for 15, 20, even 30+ years, which speaks volumes about culture and stability. • Work is meaningful — West designs and manufactures drug containment and delivery systems that help medications reach patients safely. • Onboarding has been organized and welcoming, with support at every step.

Great people at the individual contributor level 401k match is good (4% match + 3% NEC annually) ESPP with 15% discount, purchased quarterly

Cons

Difficult to progress your title and compensation Company seems to be shrinking their AZ presence Site management is misguided or missing, certainly not focused on employee retention Compensation is low Consistently losing great people and employees that eventually get fed up from working too much without a matching compensation
