Scholarship as pay - Resident Assistant Western Michigan University Employee Review

Western has found yet another way to skirt the system by registering our room and meal plan as a scholarship instead of a stipend. This makes it so students are set back from financial aid because we have $5600 worth of "scholarships". Because of this I will not be returning to this position. Western declares as a part of their scholarships given to students in order to get certain tax cuts and government funding. It is really a shame that they do this to their students.
